WOMEN’S FUND HEART TO HEART: TASTE OF AMERICA
Join the Women’s Fund for Heart to Heart: Taste of America on July 22nd, 6 – 9 pm, at the Rochester Community House.
In honor of the nation’s 250th birthday, we’re hosting an evening of fun and friendship as we tour the delicious cuisines found across America.
The Silver Shamrocks will cater a grazing menu, and the Community Foundation will provide desserts, soft drinks, and a signature mocktail.
The $70 admission cost includes a $35 donation to the Women’s Fund. Registration opens mid-June.

AUGUST 5TH, 2026: Foundation Forums – Fraud Prevention For Everyone
The Foundation Forums are a series of complimentary community events that the Foundation provides as a community service, in aid of our goal to be a community leader.
Fraud affects people and organizations of every size and of all means, resulting in financial losses, damaged reputations, and compromised personal information. This Forum will provide individuals and organizational leaders with practical tools to identify, prevent, and respond to common fraud schemes.
Participants will learn how to recognize warning signs, protect personal and organizational assets, implement effective safeguards, and create a culture of awareness and accountability. Attendees will leave with actionable strategies to reduce risk and better protect themselves, their employees, and their communities from fraud.

JUNE 9TH, 2026: Foundation Forums – Business Tax Strategies
The Foundation Forums are a series of complimentary community events that the Foundation provides as a community service, in aid of our goal to be a community leader.
If you’re considering selling your business, or if you may sell sometime in the future, this forum is for you.
This forum will focus on 3 main strategies to reduce your tax burden and improve after-tax outcomes when selling a business. Here are some things we’ll cover:

MAY 14th, 2026: MEN’S FUND ANNUAL GIVING BREAKFAST
Great Oaks Country Club
Oakland University Basketball Coach Greg Kampe and Former NFL player Frank Zombo joined us at the annual Men’s Fund Breakfast, marking a refocused mission for the Men’s Fund: focusing on providing team sports access to under-served youth in our communities.
The committee has decided to provide support in the form of scholarships to participate in team sports programs. The impact of youth team sports is a long-term positive in all areas of health, and together we can make a huge impact on young lives.
The Men’s Fund has supported causes and organizations including Neighborhood House, Grace Centers of Hope, and the Oakland County Deputy Sheriff’s Association Family Benevolent Fund, putting dollars toward enacting real, positive change in our neighbors’ lives.
NOVEMBER 10TH, 2025: Foundation Forums – Understanding New Tax Laws
The Foundation Forums are a series of complimentary community events that the Foundation provides as a community service, in aid of our goal to be a community leader.
With the numerous changes to tax law for 2025, we are providing this complimentary community informational Forum to provide a comprehensive breakdown of what taxpayers need to know.
Tax Law Experts and CPAs Katie Peabody and Farrah Nordman, from Fenner, Melstrom & Dooling CPAs, will explain the changes, answer questions, and leave you with peace of mind to file your taxes next year.

We say it every year, because every year it’s true: our community one ups itself at every Tailgate. We raised money to fulfill over 60 wishlists for Hearts for the Holidays, and we hope our community will continue giving!
JULY 16TH, 2025: Foundation Forums – Demystifying Charitable Giving
The Foundation Forums are a series of complimentary community events that the Foundation provides as a community service, in aid of our goal to be a community leader. In July, we hosted an informational session with qualified professionals in the financial industry. We learned about how to maximize tax benefits, how to give from your IRA, how to create a trust to ensure your assets are protected, and more.

Over the years, the Women's Fund has consistently given to the Assistance League of SE MI in support of Assault Survivor Kits. Any time a woman goes to the hospital as the result of reporting an assault, her clothes become evidence. Each Assault Survivor kit provides new clothing and toiletries for survivors of abuse, domestic violence, and sexual assault.
