Donor Stories
Women’s Fund
The Women’s Fund was founded in 2000 with the goal of helping women in the greater Rochester communities. One hundred women donated $1,000 each to launch the fund. It has grown to include additional partners and donors from across the communities. Now in its third decade, it has disbursed over $500,000 in support of programs that help women in need.
“When introduced to the Women’s Fund, the presentation was so impactful, I promised myself that when I could get the monies needed, I would contribute. Fortunately, the IRS made that happen with a refund! I have never regretted that initial $1,000 ‘investment’ and have continued making annual donations ever since.” Lynn McCabe, Women’s Fund Partner, former Advisory Board Member and longtime Rochester Hills resident.
“No one has ever become poor from giving.” Anne Frank
